Dementia Care at Home

Post-diagnostic support for families caring for a loved one with dementia is an important part of the process. We engage with the patient and caregivers in order to create an effective path forward for maximum health, comfort, and emotional support.

A fully licensed and registered occupational therapist with specific training in dementia care will come to your home multiple times to establish individual needs and strategies for maximum benefit. This will include cognitive and behavioral evaluations and recommendations for activities to assist with focus, mental clarity, memory, and quality of life. They will also make modifications to the environment to help ensure safety and comfort for all involved.

Options for weekly, fortnightly, or monthly visits are available.

Dementia Training and Consultation

Healthcare or residential dementia care institutions benefit from corporate training that focuses on educating and equipping nurses, nursing aides, and related staff in a productive way. The goal is to provide guidance so they can collectively support and care for people with dementia better than ever before. We strive to help you scale up your dementia care systems to ensure the comfort and support of every individual.

Our professional consultants will customize a training plan to the specific setting, organization structure, and the type of patients cared for at the facility. These meetings can occur once or multiple times at conveniently scheduled times. Although the Pacific Rehab & Therapy team develops customize solutions based on specific needs of the institution, we commonly cover generalized dementia support, personal care topics, communications and dementia, how to support people with dementia in distress, and similar subjects.
